Amex Platinum teamed up with Equinox to give cardmembers an annual rebate of up to $300 on statement credits. To raise awareness about this perk, they aimed to create an event generating PR and showcasing the benefit.

While competing agencies suggested costly one-time events, our proposal stood out: THE PLATINUM SERIES. This innovative concept involved a series of events held at iconic venues in major cities, offering remarkable fitness experiences exclusively for Platinum Cardholders.

Over 7 events in a single year, we headed to New York City to activate the Platinum Series with a full stadium takeover at Arthur Ashe Stadium, giving card members a chance to hit balls alongside Lindsay Davenport , as well as closed the MoMA museum to host a 100+ for Yoga and sunrise boxing at SUMMIT One Vanderbilt. Los Angeles had wine and fitness at Peju Winery, meditation at Five Sense Collective and yoga at the Museum of Contemporary Art Los Angeles.

The success of the series prompted a year 2 extension. Takeovers included Brooklyn Museum and Arthur Ashe in NYC, Equinox Century City and Sheats–Goldstein Residence in LA and Rubell Museum in Miami.

In conjunction with event production, we collaborated closely with Amex and Equinox marketing teams to comprehensively develop the user experience, creating newsletter content for platinum cardholders and extending the project through Equinox's Digital App.

Amex Platinum Newsletter Invitation

  • Through the Amex Platinum cardmember newsletter, Highsnobiety provided consumers with captivating content aimed at enticing Platinum cardholders to register for a thrilling series of events taking place in their respective local cities.

    Remarkably, each of these events saw their waitlists completely fill up in just under 10 minutes from the moment sign-ups were initiated.

Equinox Digital App: Platinum Series

  • Digital members received exclusive access to virtual expressions of our experiences on a digital extension microsite/app, powered by Equinox.

    Highsnobiety worked directly with the Equinox content team to develop a digital version of the ‘Platinum Series,’ allowing for members to access exclusive fitness & editorial content, regardless of their location.

Arthur Ashe With Lindsay Davenport, NYC

  • American Express and Equinox invited Platinum Card® Members to play tennis alongside professional tennis champion, Lindsay Davenport, 
at the home of the US Open, Arthur Ashe Stadium.

New Moon, New Beginnings at Equinox Hamptons Club

  • American Express and Equinox hosted an evening of wellness at Equinox Hamptons for Platinum Card® Members to celebrate the new moon in Virgo. Alongside 2 Equinox Instructor Led Bootcamps, guests also were treated to F&B by Bomberi Market, a Tarot Card Readings and and live DJ.

Yoga Flow At Museum of Contemporary Art, LA

  • Activated at the MOCA with mindful yoga led by an Equinox leading instructor, attendees were treated to a blissful experience moving 
their body to the backdrop of world-renown artwork and LA views. 
Custom branded yoga mats were gifted to our Platinum attendees.

Mediation with Vishen at Five Sense Collective, LA

  • A mindful, meditative experience gone fully-immersive in a 6 Phase Meditation with Vishen Lakhiani at a Five Sense Collective Malibu villa. Guided by our truly premium talent instructor, attendees zoned out 
in this Los Angeles sanctuary.

Yoga at the MoMA, NYC

  • American Express and Equinox invited Platinum Card® Members to an immersive yoga experience at the Museum of Modern Art. Custom branded yoga mats were gifted to our 100+ Platinum attendees.

The Cut Boxing at SUMMIT One Vanderbilt NYC
